00795  综合英语(二)课程考试说明

一、本课程使用的教材、大纲

高级英语课程指定使用的教材为《综合英语二(上、下)(附考试大纲),全国高等教育自学考试指导委员会组编,徐克容主编,外语教学与研究出版社,2000年版。

 

二、本课程的试卷题型及试题难易程度

     本课程考试的命题,是根据所附课程考试大纲所规定的各章学习(考试)内容和考核目标,来确定考试范围的考核标准,不扩大或缩小考试范围,也不提高或降低考核标准。考试内容全面覆盖课程内容,并适当突出课程的重点内容,难易程度适中。

题型同全国卷

2.试卷合理地安排了题目的能力层次结构。本课程在试题中对不同能力层次要求的分数比例,一般为:识记占30%,领会30%,简单应用占10%,综合应用占30%。

3.试卷合理地安排了题目的难度结构。题目难易度大致可分为容易、中等偏易、中等偏难、难四个等级,试卷中不同难易度试题所占的分数比例,大致为容易占20%,中等偏易占30%,中等偏难占30%,难占20%。

 

三、各章内容分数大致分布

根据自学考试大纲的要求,试卷在命题内容的分布上,兼顾考核的覆盖面和课程重点,力求点面结合。每份试卷包括两大部分:第一部分考核课程内容,占总分的60%;第二部分是水平考试,使用占总分的40%

范例:In the Cancasus region of the Soviet Union, nearly 50 out of every 100000 people live to celebrate their 100th birthday, and many don’t stop at 100! By comparison, in American only 3 people in 100000 reach 100. But these Soviet old people aren’t alone. The Pakistani Hunzas, who live high in the Himalaya Mountains, and the Vilcabambans of the Andes Mountains in Ecuador seem to share the secret of long life, too.

These people remain healthy in body and spirit despite the passage of time. While many older persons in industrial societies become weak and ill in their 60s and 70s, some Soviet Georgians, aged 110 to 140, work in the field beside their great-grandchildren. Even the idea of aging is foreign to them. When asked “at what age does youth end?” Most of these old people had no answer. Several replied, “well, perhaps at age 80.” The very youngest estimate was age 60.

What accounts for this ability to survive to such old age, and to survive so well? First of all, hard physical work is a way of life for all of these long-lived people. They begin their long days of physical labor as children and never seem to stop. For example, Mr. Rustam Mamedov is 142 years of age. He remembers his life experiences: the Crimean War of 1854; the Turkish War of 1878; the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. His wife is 116 years olD.They have been married for 90 years. Mr. Mamedov has no intentions of retiring from his life as a farmer. “Why? What else would I do?” he asks. He’s slowed down a bit. Now he might quit for after 6 hours in the field instead of 10.

All these people get healthful rewards from the environment in which they work. They all come from mountainous regions. They live and work at elevations of 5000 to 12000 feet (1660 to 4000 meters) above sea level. The air has less oxygen and is pollution-free. This reduced oxygen environment makes the heart and blood vessel system stronger.

Another factor that may contribute to the good health of these people is their isolation. To a great extent, they are separated from the pressures and worries of industrial society.

Inherited factors also play some role. Most of the longest-lived people had parents and grandparents who also reached very old ages. Good family genes may, therefore, be one factor in living longer.

Finally, although these three groups don’t eat exactly the same foods, their diets are similar. The Hunzas, Vilcabambans, and Soviets eat little animal meat. Their diets are full of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, cheese, and milk. They never eat more food than their bodies neeD.

It is clear that isolation from urban pressures and pollutions, clean mountain air, daily hard work, moderate diets, good genes and a youthful approach to life all contribute to the health and comfortable long life of all these people.

解答:With variety goes surprise, ours is the country of happy surprises. You have never to travel long without being pleasantly astonished. It would not be difficult to compile a list of such surprises that would fill the next fifty pages, but I will content myself with suggesting the first few that occur to me. If you go down into the West Country, among rounded hills and soft pastures, you suddenly arrive at the bleak tablelands as if the North had left a piece of itself down there. But before you have reached them you have already been surprised by the queer bit of marshland, as if a former inhabitant had been sent to Cambridge and had brought his favorite marshland walk back from college with him into the West.

 

六、考试注意事项

本课程考试方式为闭卷、笔试,考试时间为150分钟。考生参加考试时只允许携带钢笔、签字笔、圆珠笔、铅笔、橡皮等文具用品,不允许携带书籍及其他参考资料
